Frequently asked questions about our KOLIK products
Why is there alcohol in the KOLIK Gripe Water original formula?
A very small amount of alcohol is in our original formula as it is needed to extract the essential oil from the herbal ingredients, and it acts as a natural preservative. Preservatives are necessary in medicines like this, as they prevent microbial contamination (for example, bacteria that can be harmful).
The amount of alcohol in the original formula is perfectly safe, however, we know that many parents prefer an alcohol-free formula, which is why we developed the first alcohol-free KOLIK Gripe Water for babies with the same effective herbal ingredients and Health Canada-approved preservatives.
Can I add KOLIK Gripe Water to my baby’s formula/bottle when feeding?
We do not recommend adding KOLIK Gripe Water to the baby’s formula, as they may not finish their bottle and get the recommended dose of the product. This can reduce its effectiveness. Try administering it using a syringe against the baby’s cheek or maybe try using a small plastic measuring cup for medications.
Is the glycerin used in KOLIK Gripe Water from an animal or vegetable source?
The glycerin used in KOLIK Gripe Water is from a vegetable source and does not contain any soy or corn derivatives.
Can I give KOLIK Sweet Dreams to my child during the day?
Yes, while it is perfectly fine to administer KOLIK Sweet Dreams to your child during the day, please keep in mind that the formula is designed to help your child relax and fall asleep. The best time to administer this product is before bedtime or naptime.
How quickly does KOLIK Sweet Dreams work?
While every child is different, KOLIK Sweet Dreams can start working immediately, but could take up to 20 minutes to take effect. It can vary from toddler to toddler or child to child.
My child gets fussy at night, can KOLIK Sweet Dreams help them?
Yes. Chamomile has long been used in traditional herbal medicine not just as a calmative and sleep aid, but can also help relieve mild digestive upset, making it ideal for soothing fussy children.
